The auspicious symbols of Mount Fuji, a hawk, and an eggplant in the first dream of the year, known as "hatsuyume," have long sparked debates about their meanings. Despite the passage of about 400 years since the tradition's origins in the early Edo Period, discussions continue, shrouding these symbols in mystery. The combination of Mount Fuji, a hawk, and an eggplant adds layers of anticipation and speculation, making the interpretation of "hatsuyume" a captivating and ongoing cultural dialogue.
